Moving Forward Together: Highlights from Our Advanced Bobath Course.

Improving Patients Walking: Posture and Movement Considerations for Maximising Potential for Recovery in Locomotion with Mary Lynch-Ellerington & Tim Walton.

šŸŒĀ What an inspiring few days at Manchester Neurotherapy Centre!Ā We were delighted to host an Advanced Bobath Course focused on improving walking, posture and movement for people recovering locomotion. The course brought together physiotherapists from across the globe — including Australia, Bangladesh and Portugal — as well as colleagues from closer to home.

Ā

šŸ’¬Ā The opportunity to share ideas, experiences and clinical reasoning created rich discussion throughout the course — with plenty of constructive conversations and valuable learning between participants, tutors and patients.

Ā

✨ This course was especially meaningful: it marked Tim Walton’s qualifying course as an Advanced Tutor and Mary Lynch-Ellerington’s final UK course for the BBTA — making it a memorable experience for tutors and participants alike.

Ā

🧠 In-depth lectures on the biomechanical and neural control of locomotion were brought to life through detailed practical sessions, patient demonstrations and participant treatment sessions. It was fantastic to see meaningful changes in patients’ movement and presentation across the five days.

Ā

šŸ™ŒĀ Feedback from participants was extremely positive, with many recognising the value of developing their knowledge and practical skills in such a supportive learning environment. Everyone left feeling enthused, positive and ready to apply their learning in clinical practice.

Ā

šŸ‘‡Ā For those who attended:Ā what was your biggest learning point or most memorable moment from the course? We’d love to hear your reflections in the comments.
