Our Hybrid Basic Bobath Course offers a flexible and innovative approach to postgraduate training, blending remote learning with face-to-face practical modules.
Participants begin with structured independent study and online seminars, featuring neuroscience theory, the Bobath Concept framework, clinical reasoning, and patient demonstrations via video.
The learning then transitions into in-person modules, where participants engage in practical workshops, patient treatment sessions, and tutor-supported clinical reasoning activities.
This modular format allows participants to apply learning in their workplace between face-to-face sessions, reinforcing skills and integrating knowledge in real clinical environments.
Programme Structure
Independent Pre-course Study:
Neuroscience study pack (approx. 8 hours)
Virtual Learning Modules:
1 full virtual learning day (approx. 8 hours)
5 additional evening lectures (2 hours)
Face-to-Face Practical Modules:
Three intensive blocks of in-person learning(5 days + 4 days + 3 days)

Benefits of the Hybrid Model
Flexibility: Complete theoretical components remotely, minimising disruption to your clinical and personal commitments. |
Efficient Use of Study Leave: Reduced demand on weekday rehabilitation spaces and participant study leave, with some learning taking place during evenings and weekends. |
Consolidation of Learning: Time between modules allows for practical application of concepts in your clinical practice, leading to deeper integration and skill development. |
Comprehensive Learning Experience: A balanced programme combining theory, clinical reasoning, hands-on practical sessions, and patient interaction. |
High Engagement: Participants report excellent integration of neurophysiology into practice and strong support from tutors in applying concepts to patient care. |
“This course offers a unique opportunity to step away from the pressures of everyday clinical practice and focus deeply on developing your clinical reasoning in real time, working directly with patients and peers— a vital aspect of professional growth that is often difficult to prioritise within the demands of a busy clinical role”
Overall Learning Commitment
The full programme is designed to be completed over approximately 30 weeks, offering an extended and supported learning journey compared to the traditional intensive 3-week course format.
Remote Learning Hours: Weekend and Evenings
In-Person Attendance: 12 days Weekend and Weekdays (6 days study leave Min)
Independent Workplace Study: 12 weeks (during case report completion)
This format ensures a sustained and progressive development of skills, with opportunities for reflection, application, and consolidation throughout.
What Our Participants Say About the Hybrid Course:
"The online modules provided a clear and structured understanding of neurophysiology, which was easy to relate back to patient practice. It really helped consolidate my learning before the hands-on sessions."
"Having access to video patient demonstrations remotely helped me develop my clinical reasoning skills and approach treatment planning even before stepping into the practical modules."
"The hybrid format offered the flexibility I needed to balance learning with my busy clinical role. It meant less time off work, but without compromising the depth and quality of the course."
"Spacing out the modules gave me time to reflect, apply new ideas to my practice, and return to each in-person session with new questions and clinical insights."
"I really appreciated the balance between theory delivered online and the highly practical in-person modules — it made the integration of theory into practice so much more natural."
