Celebrating 65 years of Bobath Therapy: Mary Lynch-Ellerington.

On Thursday 14th July 2022 the National Bobath Cerebral Palsy Centre established as the Western Centre for Cerebral Palsy by Dr and Mrs Bobath marked 65 years as a charity.


At the celebrations held in the Churchill Room at the House of Commons hosted by Dene Russell MP, the CEO, Madeleine Cassidy, spoke about the legacy of the organisation and outlined the plans for the future.BBTA were represented at the event by Mary Lynch-Ellerington. Mary's long career as a Physiotherapist included her time working at the Bobath Centre from 1979 until 1989 with Dr and Mrs Bobath. Whilst at the centre she established BBTA in 1985 and the training programme for Adult Bobath Tutors began.
