Q. I am a Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist and wish to progress my learning/skills in The Bobath Concept. How do I go about it?
A. Initially by attendance on our Introductory Course modules, details of which are on our website or contact the BBTA office who will send you a list.
Q. I understand there is a waiting list for the Basic/Advanced Bobath Course. What do I need to do to get on this list?
A. For the Basic Bobath Course, please send to BBTA copies of your CV, your "What is Normal Movement?" course certificate and your HPC registration.
For the Advanced Bobath Course, please send to BBTA copies of your CV, your Basic Bobath Course certificate and HPC registration.
Q. Of what do the Basic and Advanced Bobath Course consist and how much is the fee?
A. The Basic Bobath Course is split into three modules spread over a period of four to five months. Module I is a two week teaching module (Monday to Friday) based at a hospital venue. There is then a gap of about four months during which you complete a work-based 3,000 word project for Module II (the title of the project will be designed by yourself, in consultation with your tutors, on Module I). For Module III you return to the original hospital venue for a further one week course (Monday to Friday). The fee for the course is currently £1,500.
The Advanced Bobath Course is a five day (Monday to Friday) course based at a hospital venue. The fee for the course is currently £500.
Further details can be found on our website.
Q. I have been on the Basic waiting list for over six months. When will I be offered a place on a course?
A. Places are allocated sequentially according to the time of application. If however you have specified a particular geographic location or venue then this may mean your time on the list may be more variable.
Q. What happens when I am offered a place on a Basic Bobath course?
A. You will be sent a formal offer of a place on a course detailing the venue, dates and tutors. You must return the Course Acceptance Form within the time limit specified. On receipt of this form, BBTA will send you a Pre Course Study Pack. A copy of the Course Acceptance Form will also be sent to the Course Organiser at the venue who will send you an invoice for the course fee and details of travel and accommodation.
Q. What happens when I am offered a place on an Advanced Bobath Course?
